On the 9th September 2022, the Pinot Gris was harvested from Weingut Achenbach in Neu Bamberg, Rheinhessen. 20 year old vines on sandstone soil, farmed organically.
Whole bunch, 10 days maceration, semi carbonic and lot's of remontage.
Aged in a 1,200L barrel.
This wine has structure and finesse. Explosion of red berries bursting. With a slight carbonic feeling on the tongue that keeps the wine fresh and upbeat.
Serve chilled.
