85% Silvaner, 15% Riesling - 11.5% abv
On the 26th of September 2023 we picked the Silvaner grapes from our friend Frank Achenbach's vineyard. Riesling was picked from our vineyard on the 29th of September. Both located in Wendelsheim, Rheinhessen. 25 year old vines grown on limestone & red sandstone soil, farmed organically.
Whole bunches of Silvaner spending 18 days on the skins. Parts of the Riesling spent 7 days on the skins and some were directly pressed. Aged 10 months in old oak barrels. Unfiltered. Unfined. No added sulfites. Spontaneous fermentation.
Aromatic with some hoppy vibes. Nice freshness and well balanced acidity makes this a vibrant wine.
Serve chilled. This wine can be served with or without food.
