In the early years of his winemaking journey, Alexis exclusively crafted wines from grapes sourced from dedicated organic farmers. However, in recent years, a new chapter has unfolded as Alexis expanded his horizons to include grapes from his very own vineyards nestled in the picturesque Loire region.
These Pinot Noir vines are from 1993 grown from argilo-calcaires soil. Altitude 300m.
De-stemmed, 70% of the wine was aged for 10 months in fibre glass and the other 30% was aged 10 months in old oak barrels.
Smells like fresh red berries, which follows through on the palate. Light-medium body. Well balanced and easy drinking. You can drink it over the course of a few days.
We like to drink this red slightly chilled.
