Philippe has 10 hectares of his own vines in the region of Alsace, but sometimes winemakers want to explore different grapes from different regions. When Philippe finds winemakers who share the same ethos as him in terms of the organic/biodynamic farming method, he then personally selects the grapes he wants to take back to Alsace and begin the winemaking process his way. 

This wine has 15 days of maceration and aged for 8 months in demi-muid (old oak barrel).

La Cigale has an intense deep red colour. On the palate, there is a beautiful balance between the aromas of ripe fruit, coffee and spices with light tannins.

Recommend drinking this wine within the hour after opening as it changes. So, share it with a friend or if you can drink the bottle alone, then good on you!
