On the 30th of September 2023 we picked the Riesling grapes from our vineyard in Wendelsheim, Rheinhessen. 20 year old vines on sandstone soil, farmed organically.
Whole bunches of grapes left on the skins for 7 days, then pressed and transferred into 225l old oak barrels. Aged for 10 months. Unfiltered, unfined, no added sulfites. Spontaneous fermentation.
Sourced from a small vineyard with a low-yield harvest, this wine offers a beautifully concentrated profile. An exquisite expression of Riesling. Full of power and elegance. Honey and nectarine notes.
You can enjoy this wine now or leave it a few more years.
