On the 11th of September 2023 we hand picked the Frühburgunder grapes from our vineyard in Kühhimmel, Rheinhessen. 20 year old vines on clay and limestone soil, farmed organically.
14 days on the skins. Whole bunches. Carbonic maceration. Aged 8 months in old oak barrels.
Frühburgunder is a natural mutation of Pinot Noir, sharing many of its characteristics. A little spicy, with a combination of black and red berry fruits. Medium acidity and soft tannins.
Serve slightly chilled.
